General Notice

Nesbit Water Association, Inc., (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
CONTRACT "D" NESBIT ROAD WELL

The Project includes the following Work:
Construction of a 1,000 GPM water supply well and abandonment of three existing wells.

Sealed bids for the construction of Contract "D"- Nesbit Road Well, will be received by Nesbit Water Association, in the Water Association's office located at 901 Pleasant Hill Road, Nesbit, Mississippi 38651, until 10:00 A.M. local time on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, and shortly thereafter publicly opened and read. Bids are requested for a single prime contract. The award, if made, will be made to the lowest qualified bidder for the Base Bid.

Obtaining the Bidding Documents
Contract Documents are available in paper or digital format. Interested parties are required to register online to view or order bid documents at www.danielsassocbids.com. Bid documents are non-refundable and must be purchased through the website. Bids must be submitted in sealed paper format. Bid security in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders in the Project Manual. Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal accompanied by letters qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid, and such proposals will not be considered in making the award. Nesbit Water Association reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to reject any and all bids if considered not in the best interest of Nesbit Water Association.

American iron and Steel

Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials.

The following waivers apply to this Contract:
De Minimis,
Minor Components,
Pig iron and direct reduced iron.
